The Take Me Out Evening Bag is an elegant evening bag with a removable strap to convert to a clutch. The bag has a magnetic snap closure and an inner zip pocket, with a metal trim on the flap to give it that professional touch.

The Take Me Out Evening Bag was designed as a skillbuilder for confident beginners, or a quick (And satisfying sew) for bagineers who have a few bags under their belts.
The pattern uses different interfacing & stabilisers in different areas to demonstrate the strengths of different weights in different uses. There's a fixed length strap, but you could swap it out for a purse chain or an adjustable length strap.

• 3/4yd (0.5m) Exterior fabric
• 3/4yd (0.5m) Lining fabric
• (1) x 7" (18cm) #3 Zip (if using continuous zip, you will need slightly more)
• 3/4yd (0.5m) Woven Interfacing
• 15.5" x 20" (40cm x 50cm) of Foam stabiliser
• 13.5" x 8" (35cm x 20cm) of Fusible fleece
• 16.5" x 21.5" (42cm x 55cm) of Decovil light
• (1) x 3/4" (18mm) Magnetic snap
• (2) x 3/4" (20mm) D-rings
• (2) x 3/4" (20mm) Swivel clasps
• (1) x Metal edge trim

Optional:

• (2) x Double cap rivets

You will also need:

• Standard foot, zipper foot. Walking foot if you have it
• Thread
• Pins
• Sewing clips
