This adaptable bag has a 'huggable' strap length, meaning it nestles cosily right under your arm, making it a comforting wear, and a secure bag to carry!
The large front panel of the Cwtsh bag is perfect for showing off feature fabrics. It has exposed boxed corners for a twist on a regular slouch style handbag and has slip and zip pockets inside.
The bag is stabilised with fusible fleece, but if you're using a canvas or a tapestry fabric you may wish to omit the stabiliser all together.
For extra strength, you can choose to add optional rivets to the bag.
This PDF sewing pattern for the Cwtsh Bag features comprehensive instructions, pattern pieces, and colour photographs, including instructions for a fun exposed boxed corner.
The Cwtsh Bag is classified as a beginner's pattern and is acheivable on a domestic sewing machine. The Cwtsh Bag sewing pattern is written in UK English and has been thoroughly tested by a team of all-level pattern testers.
The sewing pattern also has a text only section at the back to save on ink and paper costs! For more information on how to download and print PDF sewing patterns, please see my tutorial: How to download and print PDF sewing patterns.

What fabrics did you use for your Cwtsh Bag?
I made my cover bag from 'Caged Beauty' from Blended Thread Fabrics pre-order company in Cotton woven. I used 'iron' by Kona Cotton for the lining. I used medium weight interfacing on the exterior and lining panels (Vilene F220) and fusible fleece for the exterior panels.
What materials do I need to make the Cwtsh Bag?
This pattern works best in quilting cottons, although slightly thicker fabrics will work if your machine can sew through 6 layers.
