Bag Features

The compact bag size of The Convertible Bag is perfect for errands or a day trip where you don't want to haul around a giant bag.

Need your hands free? Use The Convertible Bag as a backpack by unclipping the strap from its top rings, threading the strap through the back 'tunnel' and re-clipping it to the bottom D-rings. Concerned about the safety of a backpack or want easy access to your bag? You can quickly switch the strap back to its crossbody style.

The Convertible Bag has multiple pockets, with internal zip and slip pockets, as well as a zip pocket on the back and a slip pocket on the front.

I've found a mistake!

This pattern does have some known errors.

  • Incorrect cutting information on some paper patterns: Please follow cutting out guide on first page of booklet. The errors are as follows: 1 - Pattern Piece D Flap: pattern piece should read "Cut 1 outer, cut 1 lining, cut 1 fusible fleece, cut 2 medium weight interfacing"; 2 - Pattern Piece G Back strap tunnel: pattern piece should read "Cut 1 outer or contrast, cut 1 medium weight interfacing"; 3 - Pattern Piece I Zip and slip pockets: pattern piece should read "Cut 1 outer, cut 2 lining, cut 3 medium weight interfacing".
  • Paper Piece B Lining measurements: Some of the paper patterns have the measurements reversed on the cutting out page for Paper Piece B Lining. The correct measurements are 13" x 12" (33cm x 30cm). The paper pattern piece, label, and PDF patterns are all correct.
  • Material requirements: You may need 1 5/8yds (1.5m) of medium weight interfacing for this bag.

You will find a complete list of errors for our patterns on our Errata page. If you can't find your mistake in this list or on the Errata page please send us an email to mrsh@mrs-h.com so that we can add it to our list to correct when the pattern is next updated.
