Less than a week to go until the Button Lock bag sewing pattern launches here at Sewing Patterns by Mrs H! Have you started picking out your materials yet? If you're not sure what you'll need, you'll find a Materials list on our previous blog.

To help inspire you, we've collected together some of the marvellous makes created by our wonderful team of testers last year!

First up is Tara's beautiful Button Lock bag! Tara fussy cut her feature print so that it was carefully centred above the lock. And then she fussy cut the back panel too so that the print would continue! Tara, we're in awe of your incredible pattern matching skills!

Lynn used Essex linen and fabric from the Hummingbird range by Lewis & Irene for this beautiful Button Lock Bag, and made a two-tone strap to show off her feature fabric:

Not all of our testers were able to get hold of the Emmaline Bags button lock at the time. If you've not got one in your stash, some of these beautiful bags may inspire you:

It's a different kind of button! This straight-flap version of the Button Lock by Desra uses a magnetic snap and a lovely big button to secure the flap!

Ingrid lengthened the flap on this Button Lock bag to show off more of this fun sewing-themed print. If you look at the top right-hand picture, you'll see that Ingrid also used a snap instead of a catch to keep the flap secure:

We think Katherine's rainbow catch looks fantastic with this bright and beautiful Ankara fabric. Katherine described the Button Lock bag as, "Deceptively roomy." With lots of pockets inside, including our favourite - the hidden full width slip pocket - we definitely agree!:

Susan's beautiful blue Button Lock bag features a lining that our whole team fell in love with! And, just look at those pockets! If you've been following our recent social media, you'll recognise that the bottom right picture is of a full width hidden slip pocket - the perfect addition for that extra bit of security in your bag!
